Mama Sekesa

I am a Traditional Midwife, trained in the ancient art of midwifery, where women are nurtured, and birth is sacred. I am sworn to carry on the legacy of my foremothers through the art of women and family care. I believe that every birth experience is unique, and every baby deserves individual attention. The ancient art of midwifery, and my tribal lineage, has taught me the importance and necessity of providing holistic service.  With this knowledge and experience I work to help facilitate optimal birth outcomes and to create positive birth stories.

I stand on the shoulders of all the Grand Midwives and Birth Attendants that came before me. Much gratitude, honor and homage is given to these great women who have stood strong in their calling through struggle, strive, peace and prosperity. May they guide my hands and my heart at every birth that I am called to attend. Ase'

Giving birth to a baby is so much more than a physical phenomenon; it engages parents to be in a transformational experience. Labor and Birth are key life events full of emotion and meaning. I believe that every pregnant and laboring woman should have all of the care and support she needs during this vulnerable time in her life.

Sekesa Berry is a Birth Justice Activist and community leader for Black Birth Workers throughout Metro Atlanta. She honors many titles such as the Founder and Director of the Georgia Black Doula Network, formally the Atlanta Doula Collective, Developer of the Maternal Health Consultant Training, a Lactation Specialist, and a Traditional Midwife and Author. However, there is one title that Sekesa raises above all others – Mother. She is a loving mother to four children and a community mother to many. Sekesa believes that mothers are the first teachers to their youth and therefore at the center of nation building. Respectively, for over a decade Sekesa has worked closely with several grass-roots organizations and local non-profit foundations in an effort to decolonize birth, curtail birth traumas, and restore natural birth rights. Through these efforts Sekesa continues to be a valued and resourceful woman within her community.

Jody ‘Yeyo’ Ryans

I am Jody “Yeyo” Ryans — a Womb Empowerment Coach, Fascia Therapist, and Birth Assistant rooted in sacred feminine care. I have been a Student Midwife with Love ‘N’ Touch for over four years.

Through my work, I guide women and womb-bearers through the full cycle of life: birth, healing, rebirth, and wisdom. My offerings—placenta encapsulation, yoni steaming, herbal stimulation, and intuitive coaching—are designed to reconnect you with the power of your womb, your story, and your sacred self.

I believe in honoring the body as a temple, the womb as a portal, and every transition as an opportunity for deeper embodiment. Whether you're preparing for birth or processing trauma, I hold space for you to feel safe, whole, and empowered.

My mission is to help you move from survival to sacred living—because you are more than enough, and your womb remembers.
